Two days later and the lads roll into Hyde. The Bike and Hound - what a great venue. First time that 'MORE!' is shouted from the audience before the band have even started! John is now sponsored by a soft cheese products company (cow bell).
A tight first half sets up the night for a memorable gig. Not even a blown Mesa Boogie amp (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!) can stop the lads. 'Mary of the 4th Form' goes down well. As the band strike 'I Predict a Riot' the pub is bouncing. Great night, great crowd. Phew, John's off to China for a deserved rest.
