The band play The Crown in Hyde and what a mare for the front guys. John discovers his amps stolen after some scum break in and help themselves. Many thanks to Ray for hot footing across Manchester with a Marshall stack to save the day. Then it's Stuart's turn. Five songs into the set and a bass string snaps. Dozy roadie has forgotten to pack the spares so frantic phone calls ensue. Thanks this time to Mick Kirby who brings a 5 string bass down to the venue. Aaaaahhhh. Stuart can only count up to four.
